A Brief History

I’m a follower of Jesus Christ.  It has taken decades of pursuing Him to begin to understand how much He loves, forgives, gives grace to and helps me.  And I feel like I am just beginning to know He really cares about all the details of my life.

In 2010, after years of pursuing Jesus, we were approached about leaving my 19-year career in sales to go to work for a church we loved in my hometown of Austin, TX.  I knew immediately I couldn’t just say no to this, but needed to know if God was asking us to do something new.  Through His patient pursuit and affirmations over the next year, we followed Jesus home to Austin and went to work at Austin Christian Fellowship.

Celia, my beautiful wife (for 28 awesome years & counting) and I have 2 college kids, Davis and Anna.  They are two of the greatest blessings of our lives.  I serve as Community Pastor for ACF | northwest, an ACF community that meets every Sunday morning in Murchison Middle School (my old middle school).  It has been and is a wonderful journey.

My passion is that people would know how much God loves them, that Jesus didn’t come to condemn, but to grant each one of us life - full, abundant & joyful life.  I want to share His love with those I meet and have been called to lead.  I want people to know they can trust Jesus with their lives, and the lives of those they love most.  If you haven’t considered or experienced God like this, please contact me (thom@acfellowship.org).  I would love to talk with you.
